The Alchemy of Death

I‘ve been sitting with this idea about the immense power that Death holds over us. So much power that millions, perhaps billions, of people avoid it all cost.

I’ve been thinking about what it actually means to develop an intimate relationship with Death and how this allows us to establish a more realized connection to our own lives.

How you can begin to understand that although life and death are not one and the same, they are not separate. How any separation is merely a mirage or illusion, a trick to demonize what is natural.

I’ve been witnessing, within myself and others, how having a conscious connection to Death can quite literally hand you a key to transformation.

This is what I wish for everyone. To understand that the alchemy of death is not about fighting with Death, but being brave enough to befriend it.

In my new cinema class, this is exactly what you will come to discover:

It’s not just about movies. It’s also about our individual and collective stories. It’s about sitting with Death in such a way where you begin to understand that endings don’t have to hold power over you because anything can change at any moment and within a minute’s time.

Regardless of whether you join this class or not, I encourage you to remember Death (they have been with you all your life and exist all around us) and understand that remembering that “you must die” is what can grant you the ability to lead a richer, more fulfilling life.

This is what I believe will also play a part in helping us remember our collective power, freedom, and autonomy in at time where many “leaders” around the world are carrying out extreme injustices.

I am personally really looking forward to the stories that we will be watching, learning from, reframing, and applying into our own lives inside this class.

Never forget: We are characters within our own lives, but we are also the director. We get to rewrite the story and change the ending as many times as we wish.

Exploring Life & Death via Cinema (yes, the name changed again; another reminder that you can also transform whenever you want) is open.

Are you ready to step through the door?

Love,

The Death Alchemist
