The Spiral Path via Cinema
What can you learn from witnessing a character’s journey? Who can you practice becoming? How could you learn to direct yourself differently? When has art + storytelling inspired an outlook, experience, or decision in your life?
The symbol of The Spiral has been making itself known to me for as long as I can remember, however, the idea for this space first arrived in late 2022 while I was living in New Orleans. I had spent a majority of the year processing three major endings in my life and felt, to put it mildly, abandoned, uninspired, directionless. Looking back, I see a person who felt and was operating as a passive victim to death, change, and grief.
The vision and creation of my own personal spiral felt practical, grounded, and creative. It gave me both direction and freedom. More than anything, I feel that it allowed me to fully step into the energy of The Fool regardless of my fears, doubts, and sadness.
In this space, you will be guided by the six themes outlined below, while also allowing yourself to be moved + expanded by the energies from each film/story/genre.

What is The Spiral Path?
The Spiral Path is ultimately about the excavation of new, old, ancient, abandoned, fallen, and forgotten pathways. It is about the discovery and carving out of oneself. About the creation of a new(er) self and world. About our personal and collective history, what almost was, and what could be.
The Spiral Path is about all of us. We are each connected by its many passages, and even those who feel “lost” within it are still walking the path before them. In life and in death.

Sit with the questions below and be honest about how each response (or reaction) feels in your body. Listen to your no’s, your yes’s, and your I don’t know’s. This is all important information that can help guide you in your decision to join this space.
Are you ready to remember aliveness? Are you ready to meet yourself more deeply and acknowledge that what you feel is lost or missing is still in relationship with you?
Are you ready to step into devotion of your sacred path? Are you ready to walk an oftentimes solo journey alongside other souls? Are you ready to practice trust and meet your desires? Are you ready to claim your space within a collective dream?
How has the movement of a character within another world influenced you to change your mind? Your life? The trajectory of your path?
What has cinema taught you about desire? About devotion?
What lessons have you learned? What keeps repeating?
What does it mean to be a seeker? How do you (we) do it?
What is actually nourishing? What is only eating at you?
How does your life fit within the expansive collective picture?
Do you feel connected to your mind, body + soul?
How often do you move? Dance? Flow? Imagine?
What does saying yes to the unknown feel like in your body?
